The client wanted a kitchen which opened up into a dining area, providing a social and eating space that would become the hub of family life. The space needed to provide somewhere for the family to eat together, as well as do homework and other activities, while food preparation and cooking was also being done. Additionally, the kitchen needed to incorporate the client’s existing Range oven, with complementary design and colours being used.
What Hülbenfit Kitchens did
Working closely with the client throughout, Hülbenfit designed a kitchen-diner solution which met all the client’s requirements. Having specified a requirement for an island unit, Hülbenfit suggested that a breakfast bar might be more suitable for the client’s needs, especially with the space available.
As a result, Hülbenfit placed a unique breakfast bar design at the heart of the kitchen and dining area, with the Range oven used as a ‘feature’. The new kitchen was part of an extension too, so imagining how the space and design would work for the family was difficult during the initial design stages.
However, through the use of computer generated imagery (CGI), Hülbenfit provided visuals of how the finished kitchen would appear, providing the clients with the understanding and reassurance of what the finished solution would look like, and how it would achieve the family’s objectives.
“Hülbenfit Kitchens offered a personal and tailored service which has resulted in us getting the kitchen of our dreams. Having originally gone to a high street kitchen company, we realised that the first solution provided to us wasn’t going to fully meet our specific requirements. However, Hülbenfit offered a very personal service, advising us on colour, design, and how the kitchen would be incorporated and flow into the open plan dining room. Their attention to detail and professionalism is incredible.
“We are absolutely thrilled with our new kitchen-diner. It’s transformed the way we spend time as a family, being at the heart of our day-to-day activities, whether it’s cooking, eating, chatting, playing, working, watching TV or entertaining friends.”
